Small Group Prayer Studies- On Sunday mornings beginning at 10:00am, we have a great time of fellowship--enjoy Bagels & Coffee with one or more small group classes being offered. It centers around a lifestyle of prayer with the study of God's Word, a round table format that encourages participation, discipleship, accountability and equipping us to be overcomers.
Harp & Bowl Prayer- At each and every one of our services, we operate within an atmosphere of Harp and Bowl prayer; the Word, modern music, and intense intercessory prayer melds together into a beautiful cry for our city, region, and the Kingdom! On Tuesday nights, we invite anyone and everyone to participate with an open Mic and flow into the Holy Spirit of prayer with us. In this setting, we learn how to spiritually encourage and reach for others, while developing a sustained lifestyle of prayer. This helps our leadership to see abilities of those who labor with us in a new way, and how we can best utilize these gifts at City on a Hill. We begin to see a faithfulness through prayer that helps us to encourage and raise up emerging leaders into ascension gifting roles.
iPray Home Groups - Communities can be radically changed when individuals desire to make an impact outside of a church setting! Consider starting or attending these fellowship groups-- Just like the early church in the book of Acts did! We borrowed and brainstormed the idea in late 2011 and have ramped it up to now being a part of our DNA in 2015 and beyond! It allows imperfect, redeemed servant workers (with support and help from City on a Hill) to launch 8, 10 week fellowship groups right where they live, shop and play. It starts with a simple sign...we will do a couple things to help you get started, assist with some details, and God will take care of the rest! firstname.lastname@example.org
Street Prayer Outreach & Evangelism Our church facility-- being in a moving, working class, transitional neighborhood-- gives us ample opportunities to minister to men and women, teens and children facing all kinds of physical, emotional and spiritual issues. During the spring, summer and early fall we grill out in our courtyard area-- in that atmosphere, we get the chance to love people in the neighborhood, pray and minister to them right where we are. We also take groups to train and facilitate a lifestyle of witnessing and prayer with The Way of The Master course! During the winter months we open our cafe (Big Daddy's!) for community lunches and breakfasts, which gives additional opportunties to pray with folks and confess Jesus!
